Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect what we need to give you a quote and provide service, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third-party marketers. The longer version follows, because a privacy policy that fits in one sentence is not a policy.

What we collect
When you submit the quote form or the contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number, city and ZIP code, optionally your street address, and whatever you tell us about the property and what you need. We also record which page you submitted from and any campaign parameters in the URL, because knowing which page produced a lead is how we decide what to write next.
Our servers additionally log your IP address and browser user-agent string with each submission. That is used for two narrow purposes: rate limiting, so a script cannot flood our forms, and abuse investigation if something goes wrong. It is not used to build a profile of you and it is not shared.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising tags on this website. There is no cookie consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
How we use it
To contact you about the request you submitted. To schedule and perform a security survey. To prepare and deliver a quote. To provide monitoring, service and billing if you become a customer. To send you a confirmation email so you have a record of what you sent us.
We do not add you to a general marketing list because you requested a quote. If we ever start a newsletter, it will require you to affirmatively opt in.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, lead aggregators, or other security companies. If you are curious why that needs saying: reselling security leads is a real and widespread practice in this industry, and it is why some people who fill out one form receive nine phone calls.
We do use service providers who process data on our behalf, strictly to operate this site and our business: Vercel for hosting, Neon for database storage, and Postmark for transactional email delivery. Each processes your data only to provide their service to us. If you become a monitored customer, your account information and emergency contact list are provided to our UL-listed central station so they can respond to an alarm at your address, which is the entire point of the service.
We will disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the safety of a person.
Text messages
If you check the consent box on a form, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about your request. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or tell whoever calls you and we will note it on the account.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@saps.biz or call (210) 468-1788 and say so. We will verify that the request is genuinely yours — we are a security company and we take that seriously — and then act on it.
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. We do not engage in targeted advertising or sell personal data, but the access, correction and deletion rights are live and we will honor them within the statutory period.
Security and retention
Data submitted through this site travels over TLS and is stored in an encrypted database. Access is limited to the people at this company who need it to do their jobs. We retain lead records for as long as the inquiry may reasonably lead to business and as required for our own tax and legal obligations, and we delete on request as described above.
No system is perfectly secure, and any company that tells you otherwise is selling something. If we ever experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required by Texas law.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For anything at all — questions, requests, or a complaint — contact San Antonio Protection Services at info@saps.biz or (210) 468-1788, or use the contact form.
