A service call should not cost $149 to be told the battery is dead
Ask anyone who has owned an alarm system for five years about their worst experience with it. They will not describe a burglary. They will describe a beeping keypad, a phone tree, and a ninety-dollar trip charge to arrive at a diagnosis they had already guessed.

Free service calls, and we mean the whole call
Monitored customers get service calls at no charge. No trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no "the first thirty minutes are covered" fine print. If a sensor fails, a battery dies, a keypad goes strange, or the system starts falsing at four in the morning, we come out and fix it. Parts under manufacturer warranty are covered. Parts outside warranty are quoted at cost-plus, in advance, and you decide.
This is not generosity. It is arithmetic. A truck roll costs us less than a lost customer, and a customer who dreads calling their alarm company eventually becomes a customer who cancels. Charging for service is a way of monetizing the moment your product fails, which is a strange thing to build a business on and yet remains standard practice across the industry.
Chronic false alarms are a fixable defect
A system that cries wolf is worse than no system, because it trains a household to ignore it and trains a police department to deprioritize it. Most Texas municipalities, San Antonio very much included, fine repeat false alarms after a threshold, and the fines escalate.
False alarms have causes. Motion detectors mounted where afternoon sun crosses a west-facing window. Pet-immune sensors installed at the wrong height for a 90-pound dog. Contacts on a warped door that fits fine in February and not in August. A glass break detector within earshot of a keyring hitting a granite counter. Every one of those is diagnosable in a visit and fixable in an hour, and we track repeat trips on monitored accounts specifically so we can call you before the city does.
Annual testing and the things that quietly expire
Panel backup batteries last three to five years. Wireless sensor batteries last two to seven depending on traffic. Smoke detectors have a manufacturer end-of-life, typically ten years, after which the sensing chamber is no longer reliable regardless of how healthy the chirp sounds. Communicators get orphaned when carriers sunset a network — 3G took a lot of alarm systems with it, and a lot of owners never knew until they tested.
We run an annual system test on monitored accounts: every zone walk-tested, a live signal confirmed at the central station, batteries checked under load, and a written report. It takes forty-five minutes once a year and it is the difference between owning a security system and owning a decoration that used to be one.

Questions people actually ask
- Are service calls really free? +
- For monitored accounts, yes — labor and trip charge are included. Parts still under manufacturer warranty are covered. Out-of-warranty parts are quoted at cost-plus before we order anything.
- How fast can you get out? +
- Inside the San Antonio 50-mile service area, typically next business day, often same day for a system that is not functioning. Austin, Houston and Dallas are scheduled within 48 hours.
- My system is beeping. Can I fix it myself? +
- Frequently, yes — most chirps are a low battery on a specific zone. Call us and we will walk you through identifying which one over the phone, at no charge, before anybody drives anywhere.
